Singer-Songwriter & Rap/Hip-Hop Music Competition
The Lausitz Festival will host a Singer-Songwriter & Rap/Hip-Hop Music Competition for young music creators from the Lusatia region. The aim of the competition is to support young artists from the region, to make their creative talents visible, and to offer them a stage for their own songs.
The competition will be accompanied by an expert jury. The jury will consist of a total of six to eight people, including representatives from Lusatia and from relevant cultural and media institutions, such as Lausitziade, rbb, Kulturland Brandenburg, or Radio Cottbus. The final composition of the jury will be announced shortly.

The competition
The competition is divided into two rounds:
In the first round, the jury pre-selects entries from those submitted. The second round will take the form of live concerts with online voting featuring the finalists at the Gladhouse in Cottbus.
The theme of the contests is „Homeland Lusatia – Lusatia worth living?“
Please send us your creative material on this topic.
Who can take part?
Anyone aged between 14 and 25 from the Lusatia region of Brandenburg can take part. Participation requires the submission of videos featuring original song lyrics and compositions.
For Singer-Songwriters: You must be able to accompany yourselves. You can apply as a solo act or as a duo with instrumental accompaniment!
For the rap/hip-hop heads: Please use your own beat!
All interested parties must come from one of the five districts of Lusatia or Cottbus.

- Stage workshop in Cottbus with ELEMENT: 25 August 2026, 6.00 PM – 7.30 PM

- Final round with live performance at Gladhouse: 8 September 2026 from 6-8pm

DJ & Producer Competition
laut@ Lausitz is part of the Lausitz Festival and is aimed at young DJs and producers with a passion for electronic music. The competition offers them feedback from established artists, visibility, networking opportunities, and the chance to become part of Lusatia’s vibrant cultural scene.
laut@lausitz, as part of the Lausitziade, will also be holding a singer-songwriter competition for young musicians from the Lausitz region for the first time in 2026. The aim of the competition is to promote emerging artists from the region and offer them a stage for their own songs.

Looking back for the DJ & Producer Competition 2025
With Laut@Lausitz A new music format premiered in Lusatia last year. In this competition, regional up-and-coming DJs and producers showcased their talent. The finalists received coaching from Oscar winner Chandra Fleig and techno legend Magna Pia before facing the decision of the prominent jury.
Also involved were Caren Callas, Juliet Sikora and Nihil Young, who contributed their expertise in DJing, music production and label management.
Furthermore, the coaches, Carl Lange from the Tresor Foundation and the bookers of the Wilde Möhre Festival, had a say.
The winners were:
In the DJ category: Georg Auge, schrääd and Luc de Breaux.
In the Producer category: K49, Tarazz and Florixel.
Their prize: A performance at the renowned Wilde Möhre Festival 2025 at the end of August.

Make your Lausitz loud!
The Laut@Lausitz Singer-Songwriter & Rap/Hip-Hop Contest 2026 is seeking young talent from Lusatia. Under the motto „Homeland Lusatia – Lusatia worth living?“ can young people and young adults between 14 and 25 years submit their own songs, beats, and lyrics.
Among the prizes you could win is a Live performance in Cottbus, a Professional song production, a Workshop with professionals as well as the Radio airplay.
